INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS FOR VACANT POSITIONS IN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF EMBU WATER AND SANITATION COMPANY LTD

Embu Water and Sanitation Company Ltd is a public water utility company fully owned by the County Government of Embu with a mandate to provide water.
and sanitation services in Embu County.
The Company seeks to fill four (4) vacant positions in the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors comprises of the representatives of stakeholders identified.
by the Company and the County Government of Embu in accordance with the Water Sector Corporate Governance Guidelines.

The Board has four (4) board vacancies for representatives of the following stakeholders:
(i) One (1) director from Mbeere North representing any of the registered stakeholders’ groups,
(i) Three (3) directors from professionals in the list of registered stakeholders’ groups.
The list of the registered stakeholders is available at the Company’s website and offices.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for appointment, one must meet the following criteria: –
i) Minimum Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in the following backgrounds; Finance/Accounting, Engineering, Human Resource, Law,
Business/Management Systems or Information Technology.
ii) Minimum of seven (7) years of working experience in the core profession or have run own enterprise(s) for a minimum of 7 years.
iii) Must be nominated by a stakeholder group registered with EWASCO.
iv) Must download, fill and submit the FIT AND PROPER TEST available on WASREB’s website www.wasreb.co.ke. Thesubmitted copy MUST be
fully signed by the applicant and stamped and witnessed by a Commissioner for Oaths.
v) Proof of compliance with the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 through submission of the following CURRENT (issued within the last 12 months) documents:

a. Certificate of Good Conduct from Directorate Criminal Investigation (DCI)/ Police.
b. Clearance Certificate from accredited Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
c. Compliance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
d. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
e. Clearance Certificate from Ethics and Ant-Corruption Commission (EACC).

NOTE
i) Suppliers and other trading associates of the Company are not eligible for Directorship positions of the Company.
ii) Persons with current professional and social relationships with current Directors and staff of the Company cannot become Directors of the Company.
