EWASCO DIRECTORS PARTICIPATE IN WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATIONS

Today, the Board of Directors of Embu Water and Sanitation Company Limited (EWASCO), along with the company’s management, marked World Environment Day by engaging in tree planting activities. They planted trees at the EWASCO Old Sewerage treatment works and water catchment areas along River Rupingazi.

World Environment Day is an annual global event celebrated on June 5th. Its purpose is to raise awareness about environmental protection and preservation, with this year’s theme focusing on finding solutions to plastic pollution.

FCPAK Nyaga, the Chairman of the Board, expressed gratitude to the other board members for their involvement in commemorating World Environment Day and for their participation in planting trees in the water catchment areas. He emphasized that by conserving the environment today, we ensure a healthier life for future generations.

Eng. James Njue, the Managing Director of the company, urged everyone to continue advocating for a greener environment and the conservation of nature.

The EWASCO directors and officials joined millions of people in clean-up and tree planting activities that were also taking place in various parts of the country and worldwide.

Subsequently, they embarked on a tour to Mwiria Intake, Mukangu Treatment Works, Kapingazi Intake, and finally Kangaru reservoir as part of their efforts to enhance service delivery to all customers.
