EWASCO Welcomes New Managing Director

In an announcement made last Monday, Engineer James Njue Njeru has assumed the position of Managing Director at Embu Water and Sanitation Company Limited (EWASCO), marking a significant change in leadership.

Engineer James Njeru, a seasoned water engineer, takes over from the Acting Managing Director, CPAK Dikson Kinyua Njiru, who has been reassigned to his former role. The transition, which occurred on the morning of May 26, 2023, was witnessed by FCPAK John Nyaga, the Chairman of the EWASCO Board, Ms. Amy Ruria, the Embu County Secretary, and Professor Kamaria, the County CECM for Finance.

Chairman FCPAK John Njeru assured the new Managing Director of his full support, pledging to work closely with him to achieve the best outcomes for the community of Embu County. The County Secretary, who was present during the handover ceremony at the EWASCO Office, also conveyed the promise of reasonable support from the Embu County government, contingent upon the new Managing Director’s ability to deliver on his responsibilities.

CECM Professor Kinyua Kamaria extended congratulations to both the incoming Managing Director and the outgoing Acting Managing Director for exemplifying professionalism and leaving a positive impression on the Embu community during the transition of leadership.
